Glamping in France

The best small glamping sites in France - natural camping at its best

Glamping -- a word shortened from glamourous camping – means camping in fully equipped tents or other forms of accommodation, which are permanent fixtures on a campsite.
Providing more than just basic campsite chalets, glampites may offer a variety of unusual places to stay, including gypsy caravans, safari tents, tree-houses, Mongolian yurts, wooden cabins and other quirky accommodation. The exact offer and the variety depends on the glampsite. While there are some very small glampsites offering nothing more that a few glamping units, many traditional campsites now also offer a choice of special places to stay in, in addition to the chalets or cabins that have been available for some years.
In theory, glamping means staying in a well furnished and well equipped unit; it is top-of-the range quality camping for those who can't or don't want to travel round with their own tent or caravan but baulk at the idea of a standard campsite chalet. Camping without the hassle, some would say.
