There are plenty of places to go glamping in Spain. But for anyone looking for glamping in the core sense of the word,  it's worth being careful what you choose. Glamping is a trendy word, and there are dozens of big campsites that have latched on to a new opportunity to offer some slightly different, or in many cases fairly ordinary, accommodation units among the hundreds of spaces they pack in to cramped areas along the coast, and call them glamping. Such campsites don't feature on Good-glamping.com.

  Good-glamping.com  is all about small glamping sites, most of them offering no more than a dozen glamping units, and many of them sharing a commitment to good environmental practice. This website is very selective, and while it may include small campsites offering no more than  60 pitches in all, most of the sites included are far smaller than that.

Catalonia

• Safari tents - Costa Blanca  ~   (Alicante) Two well equipped safari tents and a cave dwelling are available on this small Dutch-run environmentally friendly glamping site in the hills north of Alicante, inland from the Costa Blanca

Andalucia and  Murcia

• Four fully furnished tents ~   (Cadiz) Among shady parasol pines Bahía de Cádiz Natural Park 10 km from the coast, this glamping site consists of four fully furnished bell tents in the grounds of a trafitional finca. Horse-riding, meals available.
• Small-scale luxury glamping  ~   (Malaga) In the hills between Malaga and Antequera, a small site in the middle of nature, offering five different glamping units, accommodating between 2 and 9 guests.
• Luxury tents near Malaga  ~   (Malaga) Three luxury tents for hire in this small B&B property in the hills close to Malaga. Shaded by  olive trees, the tents sleep between 2 and 4 guests. Sea views, swimming pool, barbecue. E-bike rental on site
• In the wilds of Andalucia  ~   (Malaga) 10 km from El Caminito del Rey, six furnished bell tents on a property of 12 hectares,with room for 2 to 4 guests. B&B and dining options. Bikes available.

Asturias, Cantabria  - northern spain

• Eco-farm glamping  ~   (Asturias) A yurt, a cabana and a converted caravan are the glamping options available on this largely self-sufficient eco farm in the hills of Asturias. B&B available.
